Samini who is currently on an MTN sponsored four city tour “The Samini Experience” Inspirational tour shook the very foundation of the Tamale sports Stadium, last Saturday November 28, when the tour crew stopped over at the Northern regional capital Tamale. The Afro-Raggae star was able to rake an unprecedented 15,000 crowd to fill more than half of 21,000 capacity stadium, to celebrate the Eid-l-Adha (Sanla) with him and the likes of Kwaw Kese, King Ayisoba, Sheriff Gale, Stone bony and Zionites.

Years ago, a young man by name, Emmanuel Andrews Samini left the St. Margaret Mary Senior High School in Dansoman after going through three years of secondary education. Like every young man desirable of a breakthrough in Accra's crowded and hustling environment, Batman as he was called back then, saw his search for fame and fortune send him to the corridors of the capital's sprawling recording studios and featured in almost every song released at the time.

Once again, Samini has flown the flag of Ghana up high, making Africa and the whole black race very proud. Known as “The King of African Dancehall”, the young Ghanaian Afro reggae star, presently the best stage blazer in the whole of Africa has added an award to the array of awards he has already won. Music of Black Origin Award 2006 winning artist and multiple Ghana Music Awards winner, Samini real name Emmanuel Samini has currently, won the 2009 MTV Africa Music Awards for Best Performer in Africa.
